Open Streets is closing King Street for Hamiltonians to enjoy the open road. No cars, just community.

Open Streets is a one-day transformation of King Street into a vibrant, car-free space for walking, biking, rolling, and community fun.

Located on King Street East, we close 3.6 km of the road from John Street to Gage Avenue. Move through the city however you like while enjoying community fun along the way. You’ll find music, games, entertainment, and local pop-ups—plus a dedicated lane for continuous movement.
