Empowered Women Empower Women

On March 7th, 2026, Emp.owerment2020 will host its annual International Women’s Day event in Hamilton — a gathering designed to spotlight the resilience, lived experiences, and leadership of women within our community. This year’s theme, “Unlearning”, focuses on the personal and collective journeys of letting go: letting go of old narratives, societal expectations, generational patterns, and the judgments that often limit women’s growth.

Alongside the speakers, the event will include community engagement moments, vendor tables showcasing local women-led businesses, and opportunities for attendees to build meaningful connections.

Emp.owerment2020 proudly centers real women doing real work in Hamilton. Our mission is to uplift voices that often go unheard and to celebrate the power of shared stories in shaping stronger, healthier communities.

This year’s event is expected to bring together women of diverse ages and backgrounds for an afternoon of storytelling, connection, and inspiration. We would be honoured to have CHCH News cover this celebration of local women, community impact, and the ongoing journey of unlearning and empowerment.
