Emancipation Day celebrations with ‘Matter of Black’

Emancipation Day, a celebration of the abolition of slavery in Canada in 1843, is coming up on August 1st. ‘Matter of Black‘, a Niagara-based organization, is planning events for Emancipation Day including one at Lakeside Park this Sunday, July 30th.
