Your guide to Hamilton’s 2025 Supercrawl

Hamilton’s annual street festival Supercrawl is back this weekend!
This year’s Supercrawl is set to feature live music, art installations, food vendors and a variety of local businesses that will take over much of James Street North from Friday to Sunday.
The event will host 35 food vendors and 140 retail businesses. Here’s your guide to this year’s festival:
Musical performances
There will be over 50 musical acts performing throughout the weekend. Some of the artists include Born in the Eighties, Born Ruffians, Classified, James Favron, Steve Strongman and Alex Whroms.
An afterparty will also be taking place Saturday night at The Wild High at Bridgeworks on Caroline Street North.
Art installations
Art installations will be on display over the weekend with work presented by the Art Gallery of Hamilton, local artist Dope Chief, Dawn Grant and Tom Wilson Tehohahake.
Fashion
Fashion showcases from Amici, Baumbchell, The Better Days Club, Cosmic Couture and others will also be happening over the weekend.
On Friday, the Fashion Tent will host different vendors starting at 6 p.m. with the last one beginning at 11 p.m. Saturday, the Fashion Tent will be operating from 4 p.m. to the final showcase of the day at 10 p.m. Sunday, the runway will feature different work from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Dance/Performance
Saturday will also feature a variety of dance performances at the Fashion Tent starting at 1 p.m. with Ensemble Topaz and ending at 11 p.m. with a performance from Sapphyre Poison Drag Xtravaganza.
Authors/Spoken word
Friday’s Author’s Tent will kick off at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. Visitors will have a chance to meet authors such as Gary Barwin, Steacy Easton, David Neil Lee and many more.
On Saturday, the Author’s Tent will run from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be authors speaking on Books for Little Ones, Dark and Fantastical Reads and more.
To close out the weekend, there will be talks beginning at 1 p.m. on Many Kinds of Love. The final talk will start at 3 p.m., which will feature a discussion between John Terpstra and Matthew Green.
Play Chess against a local master
Want to test your skills on the Chess board?
Hamilton’s international master Brian Hartman will be accepting challenges from players starting 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Chess Simultaneous Exhibitions.
Road closures
James Street North will be closed from King to Strachan streets. York Boulevard will be closed from Bay to Hughson streets. The closures begin overnight Thursday.
Organizers are reminding the public that HSR’s MacNab Transit Terminal is just a block west from the event.
