York police charge doctor with the sexual assault of his patient

York Regional Police have charged a Markham doctor with the sexual assault of his patient.
Officers believe 62-year-old Saber Abdel Malouka Abdel Malak from the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is responsible for two instances of sexual assault against a patient.
Police believe there may be more victims that have not come forward and are urging them to do so.
Investigators say on July 7, the victim attended a medical clinic on Markham Road in the City of Markham, Ont. for an appointment.
The victim says the doctor touched them in a sexual manner and they left immediately, reporting it to authorities.
Officers say the victim recalled another incident that happened in November 2023 while talking to police.

The victim reported that they were not initially alarmed during this incident as at the time they believed it to be a part of a legitimate medical procedure, according to police.
Police point out that the accused has been a practicing doctor for over three decades.
York police say that anyone who feels they have been a victim of sexual assault can come forward and report the incident and that individuals can be charged well after the time of the incident.
