Woman robbed of Apple computer in Burlington mall parking lot

Halton police say a woman was robbed of her Apple computer in the parking lot of a Burlington mall Wednesday.

Investigators say the woman was knocked to the ground and robbed shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Mapleview Shopping Centre.

A man allegedly followed the woman out of the mall. He then knocked the woman to the ground, causing injuries that required her to be taken to hospital.

The robbery took place in the southeast parking lot area and the victim used the exit facing Maple Ave.

The man is described as white and approximately 50 years old with a thin build.

He was wearing dark clothing with a cap and sunglasses. He is believed to have sped from the scene in a dark-coloured sedan.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or who have dashcam footage of the area surrounding Mapleview Mall from Oct. 12 around 4:20 p.m.
