Police are asking for the public’s help after a woman in her twenties was critically injured following a collision on the west area of Hamilton Mountain on Saturday night.

The collision occurred just before 10:30 p.m. at Mohawk Road West and Ashton Road.

Hamilton police say an SUV was involved, injuring the woman. It’s currently unclear how she was injured.

Reports indicate that a witness stopped to help, but their vehicle collided with the SUV. The SUV then fled the scene and was later found abandoned nearby.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hamilton police.
