Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating after Halton police shot and seriously injured a man in Burlington early Sunday morning.

Hamilton police rescued six individuals who fell through the ice near the Pier 7 Boardwalk Saturday afternoon.

A big change is coming to Hamilton’s Central Library. Starting March 16, visitors will need a library card just to enter the building. Library officials say it’s a response to growing safety concerns — but the move is also sparking debate about access to public space. Harry Corro reports.

It started out two days a week. Now, 30 years later, St. George Anglican Church in St. Catharines serves 32,000 breakfasts each year. Today, the congregation marked the anniversary, knowing there’s still work to be done. Danielle de Graauw has the story.
