Welland man charged after police seize over $100K in illegal drugs

A Welland man is facing multiple charges after police seized more than $100,000 in illegal drugs.

Following a month-long investigation, Niagara police carried out a search warrant at a home in Welland and in two vehicles Tuesday.

Officers recovered approximately $44,050 in fentanyl, $30,348 in cocaine, $29,500 in crystal methamphetamine, $4,630 in Canadian cash and several drug-related items.

Investigators then arrested and charged William Beckingham, 35, with four drug trafficking-related offences.

Beckingham remains in custody and was scheduled to attend a bail hearing Wednesday in St. Catharines.
