Waterdown high grad slain in Toronto

Toronto’s first homicide of the year is a 20 year old Waterdown District High School Grad.

Brian Takahashi was stabbed to death in a Toronto alley near Queen Street West and Portland just two and a half hours into 2011.

Luke Heath surrendered to police yesterday and is charged with first degree murder and attempted murder.

Takahashi was outside a bar when a suspect and some friends started using a cell phone camera, asking people what their New Year’s resolutions were. 

Takahashi and a friend were stabbed after an argument. 

The friend is in hospital in critical but stable condition.
