Hamilton police are scheduled at 10 a.m. to provide an update on the investigation into the homicide of Harsimrat Randhawa, who was shot and killed in April.

21-year-old Randhawa had been standing near a bus stop on Upper James Street on the night of April 17.

The international student at Mohawk College was on her way to work when she was hit by a stray bullet, and later died in hospital.

A week after the shooting, Hamilton police recovered a car and an SUV believed to be involved in the shooting.

They also collected several hours of surveillance camera footage from the area.

At that point, investigators said they had narrowed down a pool of people associated with the two vehicles, but so far there have been no arrests made.
