Two people from Welland arrested after fentanyl trafficking investigation

A man and woman from Welland have been arrested following an investigation into fentanyl trafficking in the area.

Police executed search warrants at a home and a vehicle in Welland on May 13 – resulting in the seizure of 388 grams of suspected fentanyl, 32.9 grams of suspected cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators say the estimated street value of the seized drugs is $42,090.

Stacy Crawford, 51, of Welland and Shawn Marsh, 33, of Welland are facing several charges relating to possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Marsh faces additional charges for failing to comply with release and probation orders.
