Two Hamilton police officers unexpectedly helped deliver a baby Friday morning on the Hamilton Mountain.

In a Facebook post, the Hamilton Police Service say Sgt. Twolan and Const. Portillo were called to a parking lot on Upper Wentworth Street.

It was there that the officers assisted a mother and father in bringing their baby daughter into the world.

Everyone involved is reportedly doing fine.
