Two dead, four injured in Brampton, Ont., house fire: Peel police

BRAMPTON — Police in Peel Region say two people are dead and four others including a child are critically injured after a house fire in Brampton, Ont., early this morning.

Brampton firefighters say they responded to a scene near McLaughlin and Remembrance roads just after 2:30 a.m. after a report of a two-alarm residential fire.

Peel police say multiple homes were evacuated and two adults were pronounced dead.

Police say three adults and one child were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Emergency crews remain on scene.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area as firefighters continue to work.
