Toronto man killed in three-vehicle collision on QEW in Burlington

The Burlington Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a medical emergency that they say caused a fatal three-vehicle crash on the QEW on Sunday.

Investigators believe the 40-year-old man driving one of the vehicles was experiencing a medical emergency and that this was the cause of the crash.

Authorities say the man was brought to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police say the crash happened at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday near Walkers Line in the eastbound lanes of the QEW.

Officers say the people in the two other vehicles were not injured and they do not expect to lay any charges.

The scene was closed for two hours while officers investigated and cleared the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
