Police have charged a Thorold man following a shooting at the Niagara Gateway Information Centre in Grimsby in late October that sent a man to an out-of-region hospital.
Ferdinando Pio, 33, was arrested and charged on Oct. 31 with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.
The shooting happened in the late afternoon of Oct. 30, forcing the information centre to close while police investigated.
The unnamed victim was hospitalized with serious but non-life threating injuries.
Pio remains in custody and is scheduled to appear at a courthouse in St. Catharines on Nov. 7.
