Third suspect arrested in fatal 2025 shooting of Toronto teen

TORONTO — Another suspect has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy in Toronto.

Police have said 15-year-old Jahkai Jack was fatally shot in June 2025 after he and some friends met with another group of people and there was a verbal exchange between him and a man.

They said the boy died in hospital and a suspect fled before officers arrived.

Toronto police say a 20-year-old suspect who had been wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was arrested last week in Calgary.

They say he has been charged with second-degree murder.

Two Toronto men ages 19 and 21 were also arrested last week and were charged with being accessories after the fact to murder.
