Terry Fox’s niece shares excitement as fundraiser reaches 45-year milestone
CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram spoke with the Terry Fox’s niece Kirsten, who spoke on her feelings as events across Canada get ready for the 45th Terry Fox Run.
This Sunday, Canadians across the country will lace up their shoes for the 45th edition of the annual fundraising event.
The event, in support of cancer research and in memory of Fox, is being held in more than 650 communities including events spanning across Halton, Hamilton, Niagara and Brant.
She said how she believes Canadians feel connected to the run after 45 years, and to Fox’s legacy.
Kirsten also talked about the process involved in helping Hamilton filmmaker Sean Menard make a new documentary called Run Terry Run.
