Ten-year anniversary of rescue of trapped Chilean miners

Tuesday marks the ten-year anniversary of the rescue of a group of trapped Chilean miners.
The 33 miners were trapped about 700 feet underground during a cave-in at a mine in northern Chile.
The group spent 69 days underground.
They managed to survive on the little food they had in the shelter before they were discovered.
First responders were able to send more food down during the rescue operation.
On Oct. 13, 2010 shortly after midnight local time, the first of the miners was rescued alive.
