St. Catharines man arrested in drug and theft investigation

A St. Catharines man has been arrested in a drug and theft investigation in the city.

Police say detectives began looking into the sale of cocaine in the city along with trailer thefts in September.

Officers executed a search warrant in St. Catharines on Wednesday.

They seized 17.9 grams of cocaine, worth over $2,200, and a utility trailer.

Daniel Rizzardo, 67, of St. Catharines has been charged with:

• Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Two counts of failure to comply with undertaking
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking
