Six Nations Police have charged a man from Hamilton with multiple violent charges after allegedly driving while impaired on Fourth Line in June.

Officers say at around 7 p.m. on June 20, they received a report of someone allegedly driving while impaired on Fourth Line.

A caller had said the vehicle had gone into a ditch, but the driver was able to return to the road safely after.

Following an investigation, detectives were able to locate the vehicle and arrest 31-year-old Tylor Plank of Hamilton.

Plank is facing charges related to driving while impaired, and for other violent offences including two counts of assaulting a peace officer, one count of obstructing a peace officer, and for assault with a weapon.

It is unknown if the violent charges occurred during the arrest in June, or were from a separate incident.

Plank is scheduled to appear at a Brantford courthouse at a future date.
