Sister Sledge, Brett Kissel to headline Hamilton’s Festival of Friends

Hamilton’s Festival of Friends has announced its line-up for the August Civic Holiday long weekend.
The free music, arts and craft event held at Gage Park is presented by Tim Horton’s and is now in its 49th year. It kicks off Friday, Aug. 1 and runs until Sunday, Aug. 3.
Hamilton-based The Trews will headline Friday night, The Sugar Hill Gang (“Rapper’s Delight”) and special guests take to the stage on Saturday night followed by disco legends Sister Sledge (“We Are Family”).
The festival wraps on Sunday with Canadian country music act Brett Kissel.
In addition to three stages of music with over 30 musical acts, the event will have 135 craft and food vendors, a midway, a children’s stage, free yoga sessions and an escape room.
Hamilton’s Festival of Friends runs rain or shine.
