Serious crash near Cambridge

Four people were taken to hospital Sunday night after a serious two-vehicle crash near Cambridge.

A convertible collided with a pickup truck around 5:30 on Sheffield Road at Old Beverly Road, southeast of Cambridge.

A 55-year old man was air-lifted to Hamilton General Hospital with major injuries. The other three were taken to a Cambridge hospital, two of them are children with minor injuries. The other adult suffered neck and back pain.

Police say speed may have played a role in the crash.
