Second man arrested after woman’s body found in Niagara Falls parking lot

A man wanted in connection with a sudden death investigation in Niagara Falls has turned himself in to police.

Niagara police say the body of a 22-year-old woman was found in a parking lot at the back of a building in the area of Main and Ferry streets on Oct. 14.

One day later, officers said they arrested and charged 43-year-old Christopher St. Louis of Niagara Falls with indignity to a body.

Investigators spent the past week searching for the other suspect — Ryan Maeder, 38, of Niagara Falls.

In an update Tuesday, officers say Maeder turned himself in to police around 12 p.m. He was then arrested and charged with indignity to a body.

St. Louis was scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Oct. 16, while Maeder is expected to appear in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.

Officers say the cause of the woman’s death remains under investigation.
