Red Hill Valley Parkway in Hamilton closed Sunday morning for road survey

Hamilton’s Red Hill Valley Parkway is scheduled to be closed on Sunday morning for a road survey and maintenance.
The parkway will be closed in both directions — between Mud Street West and King Street East — for twelve hours beginning at 12 a.m. on July 6.
The City of Hamilton says the closure is necessary for crews to complete a detailed topographic survey that’s part of a design study.
The city says they are taking action to modify the roadway geometry in the area, which was identified in a recent Red Hill Valley Parkway design review presented to city council in May.
While the survey is taking place, pavement markings between King Street East and Mud Street West will be repainted, and a street light pole will be replaced on the northbound King Street East offramp.
The Parkway is expected to be reopened by noon.
