Possible sighting of missing Dundas man in Milton on weekend

A person resembling a Dundas man who went missing two weeks ago was seen in Milton on the weekend.

John Edwards, 62, was reported missing from on June 11 from St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas.

Hamilton police say that Edwards has cognitive impairments similar to dementia and that the current heat wave is making the situation “even more urgent and concerning.”

Since his disappearance, investigators have actively pursued numerous tips and potential sightings and have collected surveillance footage from across the region.

Police are looking into a possible sighting in Milton along the pipeline between Bennett Boulevard and Thompson Road South around 11 a.m. on June 20 or 21 and ask nearby residents to review video footage of these dates between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

John Edwards is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, over 200 pounds and with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. He walks with a slight shuffle.
