Political analyst Drew Fagan examines Carney’s priorities as Prime Minister

CHCH News anchor Matt Ingram spoke with political analyst Drew Fagan to talk about Mark Carney’s priorities as Prime Minister.
Fagan is a professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and the senior advisor at the public affairs firm McMillan Vantage Policy Group.
Ingram asked Fagan’s opinion on Carney’s promise to “hit the ground running” to transform the economy, while also saying “no deal” with the NDP to pass legislation.
They also talked about whether Carney avoiding to deal with NDP is a good idea, considering how had adversely affected former prime minister Justin Trudeau.
Fagan also spoke on Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre getting another chance to gain a seat, and if he thinks Poilievre can win in Alberta.
At the end of the conversation, Ingram asked about the significance of having King Charles open Parliament amidst the threats to our sovereignty from U.S. President Donald Trump.
