Police seek man wanted in attempted St. Catharines business robberies

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of attempting to rob two businesses in St. Catharines Tuesday.

Officers were called around 8:45 a.m. to the area of Scott Street and Nihan Drive for a report of a robbery.

Investigators discovered a man allegedly demanded money from a pair of businesses. He then fled the area when they refused to give him the money.

Police describe the suspect as a white man who is five-foot-eight tall and has a medium build.

He was wearing a black balaclava, black and white checkered jacket, grey hooded sweater, green pants, red running shoes, blue backpack, and black and white gloves at the time of the incidents.
