Police searching for driver following fatal August hit-and-run in Niagara Falls

Police are appealing to the public for information regarding a fatal hit-and-run in August that killed a 63-year-old man in Niagara Falls.

On Aug. 10, 2025, officers responded to the area of Montrose Road and Greendale Street for a report of a collision.

Investigators determined that a collision occurred between a white four-door Audi SUV with a large moonroof and a pedestrian.

The driver of the Audi did not stop and was last seen driving southbound on Montrose Road towards Lundy’s Lane.

The victim, 63-year-old Suresh Lal, was transported to hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Authorities and Lal’s family are asking the public for assistance bringing closure to this incident.
