Police issue warrants in senior’s scam

Halton police have warrants out for six people after more than 300-thousand dollars was siphoned from an Oakville senior’s bank account.

The man hired a caregiver two years ago, and police say she used her position to transfer the money into fake accounts.

Police are looking for 66 year-old Shirley Prince and 41 year-old Marc Bigras, both of Barrie.

The other four suspect are from Sudbury; 31 year-old Melissa Montpetit, 37 year-old Dave Bigras, 37 year-old Jennifer Boyd and 27 year-old Eric Cooke.
