Police arrest 4 following vandalism at Niagara Falls nature preserve

Niagara police have made four arrests following an investigation into vandalism at a nature preserve that resulted in $15,000 in damages.

The incident happened in August at Heartland Forest Nature Experience on Heartland Forest Rd. in Niagara Falls.

Four suspects were caught on camera overnight causing extensive damage to the property, throwing garbage bins and park benches into a pond and breaking windows.

Police were able to identify and arrest the following four suspects in relation to this vandalism, and they’re all facing a charge of mischief over $5,000:

  • Devon McIntyre, 19, of St. Catharines
  • Paul Brunning, 18, of Welland
  • 17-year-old boy from Welland
  • 17-year-old boy from St. Catharines

The identity of two of the accused is being withheld due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada.

All four males were released from custody on Form 10 Undertakings with future court dates.
