Part of Guelph Line closed after large fire at Moffatt Scrap Iron & Metal Inc. in Milton

Parts of Guelph Line have been closed after a large fire in a scrap metal yard in the community of Campbelleville in Milton Wednesday night.
Halton police say at around 9:15 p.m. they helped close the road from Highway 401 to 10 Side road while Halton Hills Fire Services attended to a fire at 9620 Guelph Line.
Officers posted on X just before 10 p.m. that they were closing that section of Guelph Line, and asked drivers to avoid the area.

Milton officers along with the OPP are assisting Milton Fire with a large fire at a nearby scrap yard.

Investigators said there was no indication that the fire was suspicious in nature.
Detectives say they were not required to be present at the road closure at 2 a.m. and have cleared from the area.
The Town of Milton has placed roadblocks on Guelph Line north and south of the location.
