Health Canada has issued a nationwide recall of JAMP-Pregabalin 50 milligram capsules, a pain medication.

JAMP Pharma is recalling a single batch of JAMP-Pregabalin 50 milligram capsules due to the possibility that some bottles may contain 150 milligram capsules instead.

The higher dose increases the risk of overdose, which could lead to serious or even fatal side effects.

The affected product bears drug identification number 02435985, lot number 2305012747, and an expiry date of August 2026.

The capsules are white and marked “PG” and “50.”

Customers are asked to return the medication to the pharmacy and speak with their healthcare provider.

More information about the recall can be found on the Government of Canada’s website.
