OPP seize $55M worth of cannabis in Haldimand County

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged 16 people in the seizure of more than $55 million worth of cannabis in Haldimand County.
Police say that on Wednesday, July 16, they conducted a search of a rural property on Highway 3 in Haldimand.
They say the property had a large greenhouse which contained cannabis plants at various stages of growth.
Investigators say the search led to more than 107,000 cannabis plants and around 905 pounds of dried bud being seized.
The OPP estimated the value of this seizure at more than $55 million.
Among the 16 people police have charged is 56-year-old Kelly Blair from Brantford.
The list of accused are facing a combined 32 charges and were released from custody and are expected to appear in court.
Police say they are continuing to investigate.
