Ontario to provide over $3M in funding for Brantford child care facility

The Ontario government has announced they are providing the Grand Erie District School Board with $3.1 million to open a new child care facility in Brantford.
On Aug. 29, MPP for Brantford Will Bouma announced Banbury Heights School will be welcoming new families this September for the 2025-26 school year.
The project comes as part of the government’s plan to “protect Ontario and prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow.”
As part of the overall project, Ontario is providing $23 billion to support school construction, renewal and improvement over 10 years. Since 2018, Ontario has approved or supported the development of approximately 300 school-related projects including child care – of which 100 are actively under construction.
The provincial government says they are “delivering record education funding this school year with $30.3 billion.”
Banbury Heights School is located at 141 Banbury Rd. in Brantford.
