Ontario is reporting 139 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and 11 more deaths.

The data is based on more than 17,100 completed tests.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 26 new cases in Toronto, 19 in the Region of Waterloo, 18 in Peel Region, and 15 in York Region.

There are currently 108 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness and 76 on ventilators.

The province says 60,094 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered Tuesday for a total of more than 19.6 million.

More than 80 per cent of people in the province aged 18 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 71 per cent are fully vaccinated.

Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least five are in an outbreak including Arbour Creek Long-Term Care Centre in Hamilton, St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, and The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington.

An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
