One dead after motorcycle crash in Thorold, say police

One person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck in Thorold.

Police say the collision happened around 4 p.m. yesterday on Highway 58 near Davis Stone Road.

Officers confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle has died.

The intersection was closed for an investigation for about five hours, but has since reopened.

Police did not comment on the cause of the crash, nor have they released any identifying details about the motorcyclist who was killed.
