Officers appealing to public for investigation into Burlington shooting

Halton police are asking for the public’s assistance into an ongoing investigation into a shooting in Burlington last Saturday.
Officers are looking for dash or door cam footage from the downtown Burlington area between Lakeshore Rd. and James St. between the hours of 1 and 3 a.m.
Investigators say they are also interested in speaking with any rideshare drivers who were in the area and may have footage of the incident.
Reports of a shooting in the area of Lakeshore Rd. near John St. were first received shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Emergency responders arrived to find two men with gunshot wounds and say one suspect fled on foot.
A 25-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries while a 31-year-old man sustained minor injuries.
Investigators say based on existing information, they believe this was a targeted incident and there is no known threat to public safety.
