Oakville racer wins silver in Italy

Oakville’s Kaylie Buck took home her first ever World Cup medal claiming a sliver at a snowboard race in Cortina d’Ampezzo Italy Saturday.

The 25-year-old was second in the parallel giant slalom final to Austria’s Sabine Payer. 

Buck was 21st in the same event at the Beijing Olympics and looks to be in good shape heading into the Milan/Cortina Winter Olympics in February.

Another Canadian, Aurelie Moisan, placed ninth.
