North Bay teen charged after Niagara police child exploitation probe

Niagara police have charged a 19-year-old man with multiple offences following an investigation into the sexual exploitation of minors late last month.

Investigators allege that a North Bay resident, who had been temporarily staying in the Niagara Region, used chat platform Discord to communicate “for a sexual purpose” with minors.

Officers say his usernames included “natacutie_15959” and “puppygirlgamer.”

On Friday, detectives arrested and charged Nate Sarrazin with 10 offences, including sexual assault, two counts of voyeurism and making child sexual abuse and exploitation material, among others.

Sarrazin remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Saturday at a St. Catharines courthouse.

Investigators say there may be other victims and are asking anyone who believes they may be a victim or knows of anyone interacting with someone on Discord with the usernames “natacutie_15959” or “puppygirlgamer” to contact them at 905-688-45111, option 3, ext. 009128.
