The halfway point of this year’s NFL season has officially been marked with the trade deadline now in the rearview mirror.

Most trades came and went as predicted and others took the football world by surprise, including a last minute deadline deal by the New York Jets.

This year, the NFL saw 27 in-season trades, the most it’s seen in the past 25 seasons.

This year also sets the record for the most number of former first-team all-pros traded.

Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams of the New York Jets and Rashid Shaheed of the New Orleans Saints.

As we head into the second half of the season, rosters will be officially set in stone after the signing deadline next Tuesday.

Teams will be able to sign free agents for the 2026 season in early January, including players from the c-f-l.
