Motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup truck on Hamilton Mountain

A 32-year-old man has died after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on the Hamilton Mountain on Thursday evening, say police.

Police say the crash happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Upper James Street and Mohawk Road.

Investigators determined that the motorcycle struck the pickup truck as it attempted to turn left at the busy intersection.

The 32-year-old driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup was not injured. Police say he’s cooperating with the investigation.

Officers with the Collision Reconstruction Unit closed the intersection for several hours, but the roads have since reopened.
