Motorcyclist, 22, dead after colliding with car in Niagara Falls

A 22-year-old man has died after a car and motorcycle collided in Niagara Falls late Thursday night.

Niagara police say a red 2020 Honda motorcycle and a black 2011 Hyundai Elantra collided around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Thorold Stone and Dorchester roads.

The motorcyclist from Niagara Falls was treated at the scene for critical injuries. Paramedics then rushed him to an out-of-region hospital, where he later died.

The 19-year-old Niagara Falls man who was driving the Hyundai was not injured.

Police say both vehicles were demolished in the crash; there’s no word yet on what caused it.

The intersection was closed overnight as the collision reconstruction and forensic units investigated. The area reopened at 7:30 a.m. Friday.
