Niagara police are searching for a man allegedly involved in a Friday night armed robbery in Fort Erie.
On Jan. 23 at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a convenience store on Bertie Street near North Street for an armed robbery.
The investigation revealed that a man approached the clerk, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the till.
The clerk complied and the man was given money before fleeing the scene in a black sedan last seen heading northbound on High Street.
Authorities describe the man as white, five-foot-ten tall and approximately 25 years old.
They add he was wearing a brown winter jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants, brown and black work boots, dark coloured facemask and a red and black toque.
Detectives are asking residents and businesses in the area of Bertie Street to review their video surveillance footage.
