Late night stabbing in Niagara Falls

A man is recovering after being stabbed last night in Niagara Falls, and now the search is on for the people responsible.

Niagara Regional Police say they are looking for at least three people involved and will release their descriptions later today. Police say it was not a random stabbing.

Around 11:30 Thursday night a 41-year old man was found on Brookfield Avenue near Lundy’s Lane.

Police believe the man was stabbed either on the road or sidewalk near Barker Street. He was taken to hospital and is now in stable condition.

This morning officers were speaking with neighbours on the residential street. A forensic investigator took a number of photos and collected evidence including a needle and syringe.

Neighbours say they were shocked to hear the news.
