Kiteley inquest
An inquest gets underway Monday into the death of a Hamilton man on Valentine’s Day 2011.
36 year old James Kitelely died of ”restraint asphyxia” as police were arresting him on suspicion of trying to steal a TV from a home in the city’s east end. An investigation by the province’s Special Investigations Unit cleared police a few months later saying the officer was not the cause of the man’s death. The inquest is expected to last three days.
