Israel navy arrests Greta Thunberg, activists group during Gaza aid delivery attempt

Swedish activist Greta Thunberg is among those who were arrested Sunday, as they attempted to sail humanitarian aid through an Israeli naval blockade, all in an attempt to feed and clothe those in the Gaza strip.
It was around 2 am local time that those on board the ship began sending out distress calls, taking to telegram and sharing that they had “come under attack.”
Their last transmission was from a livestream of them inside the ships helm, mere moments before they were taken into custody.
The latest update from Israeli authorities indicates that those who were detained at sea, are still in transit and on their way to an Israeli port.
The nation’s foreign ministry maintains that it intends to deport them, soon after they land.
