It comes amid wider controversy surrounding this organization, with countries like France and Norway citing concerns over Trump’s potential ambitions to replace the U.N. Chaired by Trump, the board was originally pitched as a small group of world leaders overseeing the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan, but Washington’s vision for the organization seems to have expanded, with one White House official telling the Associated Press around 30 countries are expected to sign on.
