Impaired charges in Burlington crash

A Burlington man is facing several charges after a pickup truck hit a tree.

Police say the truck went through a stop sign and hit a tree on Tyandaga Park Drive around 1 o’clock Monday morning. When police got there, the driver was gone.

A 24 year old man was arrested near Joseph Brant Hospital a short time later. Police removed several empty beer cans from the truck. The driver suffered minor injuries and is charged with impaired driving, and failing to remain at the scene of a crash.
