Historic property of Burlington’s Emma’s Back Porch goes up for lease

The historic property that was home of the now defunct “Emma’s Back Porch Restaurant” in Burlington is up for lease.

A sign has gone up indicating the Burlington waterfront property on Old Lakeshore Road is being offered for lease by Redvers Commercial Real Estate.

The sign describes the lease opportunity as “the restaurant everyone knew, the space everyone will talk about.”

Emma’s Back Porch closed five years ago citing pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic, after being in operation for thirty years.

Not long after, the new owners of the property said they hoped to bring a new restaurant to the location.
